Best of Breed Winners

Since its inception, the SSCNC has proudly organized a Specialty show each year, and in some cases twice a year ever since 1949. Below is a comprehensive list of the winners of the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex categories.

The process of claiming the coveted title of “Best of Breed” or “Best of Opposite Sex” follows a structured path. It begins with regular classes, categorized by sexes and further divided into classes. Male dogs are judged first, followed by female dogs. At the conclusion of each regular class, judges award placements and ribbons.

Next, male dogs who won first place in a class come together again to compete for the title of “Winners Dog,” followed by the repetition of regular class competition for females to determine “Winners Bitch.” These two winners move on to compete in the “Winners Class” alongside champions of record, and first-place winners of non-regular classes such as Veterans class, ultimately contesting for the esteemed awards of “Best of Breed” and “Best of Opposite Sex.”
